A Musical Journey Born From Game Development
On dec 11, alongside the release of Zebler: Evade, Rebuild, Escape, Digital Brilliance Hour proudly unveiled “Breaking Free,” a 6-song EP created by Violet, a music student from our Fall 2024 session.
From Game Development to Music Production
Violet’s story is a powerful example of what DBH is all about: finding your creative path. Originally a Game Development student, Violet discovered her passion for music composition during the program. Inspired by her desire to write and produce music for games, she transitioned into our Music Production curriculum.
The title Breaking Free holds a special meaning—it symbolizes Zebler’s escape from Earth in the game and Violet’s own journey of breaking free creatively to pursue her passion for music.
Music That Transforms Gameplay
Five of the six songs on the Breaking Free EP are featured in the Zebler game, enriching its atmosphere with dynamic soundscapes. The sixth track, an original creation by Violet titled “Cosplayer”, showcases her versatility and personal artistry. As a bass guitar player, Violet’s love for bass heavily influenced her creative approach to “Cosplayer,” giving the track its deep, rhythmic, and powerful sound.
