We’re thrilled to announce that Digital Brilliance Hour (DBH) has partnered with Durham Tech to host our Fall 2024 Workshop at the recently opened William G. Ingram Center for Applied Learning and Technology! This state-of-the-art facility, located in Building 11 on the Durham Tech campus, opened its doors in 2021 and is designed to foster innovation and hands-on learning experiences. With cutting-edge labs and classrooms, this partnership provides our students access to an advanced environment that perfectly aligns with our mission of empowering future technology and music professionals.
Workshop Overview
The workshop will run from oct 14 to dec 18, with sessions held on mons and weds, 6p-8p. Throughout the workshop, students will participate in two phases:
- Learning Lab: Gain a solid foundation in either Game Development or Music Production.
- Working Lab: Apply your knowledge in a collaborative setting to complete real-world projects.
With a total of 40 hours of instruction, the workshop is designed to help students advance through our curriculum and graduate to the next skill level. Students begin at the Beginner Level and can work their way up through Intermediate, Advanced, Expert, and finally the Advanced Expert Level.

Joining our workshop is the first step in an exciting journey that can take you all the way to the Advanced Expert Level. At this level, students not only master technical skills but also gain industry-recognized certifications in Software Engineering, Cyber Security, or Audio Engineering.
Reaching the Advanced Expert Level is equivalent to having 4-6 years of professional experience, which can significantly boost your employability. These certifications, combined with the skills and projects developed throughout the DBH curriculum, will give you the competitive edge needed to land high-demand jobs in these fields. Our goal is to ensure that students have the knowledge and preparation to successfully pass certification exams and step confidently into the professional world.
